Fabric is the single biggest driver of sportswear quality, retail price and repeat orders. At PEIXIANG — a sportswear and gym clothing manufacturer founded in 2011 — we help wholesale buyers and brand owners match every product line to the right knit, balancing performance, hand-feel, durability and landed cost. This guide covers the fabrics we produce for men's activewear, from ready-to-ship basics to fully customized programs.

Below are the core fabric families we cut, sew and finish in-house. Each one suits a different program — tell us your market and target price and we will shortlist the best options.
Polyester knits are the workhorse of activewear: moisture-wicking, quick-drying, colorfast and print-friendly. Ideal for running tees, training tops and jerseys.

Nylon and nylon-spandex blends offer a softer hand and superior stretch recovery — the first choice for seamless, compression and skin-tight silhouettes.

Combed cotton jersey and cotton blends deliver premium everyday comfort — popular for lifestyle tees, hoodies and lounge pieces in 180–220 GSM.

Always confirm GSM (fabric weight), yarn composition, stretch direction, and finish requirements — anti-pilling, wicking, UPF or antibacterial treatment. PEIXIANG provides lab dips and strike-offs before bulk, so color and hand-feel are approved up front. Custom programs support MOQ from 50 pcs per style, with counter-samples in 5-7 days and bulk production in 20-30 days.
For running and training tops, polyester and polyester-spandex knits are the safest choice. They wick moisture, dry quickly, hold color well and stay light during high-output workouts. If your line needs compression or four-way stretch, choose a polyester-spandex blend with 10–20% spandex; for loose, breathable training tees, a plain polyester jersey at 140–160 GSM works well. Tell PEIXIANG your activity type and climate, and we will recommend the exact construction — we have cut and sewn these knits in-house since 2011.
Cotton is soft, breathable and comfortable for lifestyle wear, but it absorbs sweat and dries slowly, which makes it a poor base for intense training. Polyester is moisture-wicking, quick-drying and more durable in repeated wash cycles. Combed cotton jersey at 180–220 GSM suits hoodies, lounge pieces and everyday tees, while polyester or polyester blends should drive performance items. At PEIXIANG many programs use cotton-poly blends to balance comfort and function, so share your target use and price and we will shortlist the right mix.
Yes. Before bulk production we provide physical swatches, lab dips and strike-offs so you can approve color, hand-feel and finish up front. This step removes most quality surprises — what you approve is what we mass-produce. Counter samples are ready in 5–7 days after fabric and spec confirmation, and our team keeps the approved reference for the full production run. PEIXIANG supplies mill certificates and finish options such as anti-pilling, wicking, UPF and antibacterial treatment on request.
Yes. We produce recycled RPET knits made from GRS-certified yarns, which is an increasingly common requirement for retailers and brands selling to sustainability-minded markets. RPET can be engineered for wicking and quick-dry performance in running and training lines, so you do not have to sacrifice function for eco-credentials. We can also advise on eco-friendly packaging and labeling for the full program. Contact PEIXIANG with your sustainability targets and we will confirm yarn options, certifications and any MOQ adjustments for your order.
Always confirm GSM (fabric weight), yarn composition, stretch direction and finish requirements. As a starting point: 140–160 GSM polyester for summer training tops, 180–220 GSM cotton jersey for everyday and lifestyle pieces, and 240–320 GSM fleece or interlock for hoodies and outer layers. MOQ starts from 50 pieces per style at PEIXIANG, with bulk production in 20–30 days after sample approval. Send us your target price and market, and we will propose the best knit construction with mill certificates and FOB pricing.
